TMS Side Effects
Common side effects (Mild to Moderate)
- Headache
- Scalp discomfort at the site of stimulation
- Tingling, spasms or twitching of facial muscles
- Light-headedness
Uncommon side effects (very rare)
- Seizures(1:30,000 sessions); patients are screened for risk factors prior to treatment.
- Mania, particularly in people with bipolar disorder
- Hearing loss if there is inadequate ear protection during treatment
